Yet Trouble Came—Joshua E Stone Original Audio

When I was a child, trouble seemed like something you could avoid if you just stayed out of it. Mama would say, “Don’t get in trouble at school, or you’ll be in trouble when you get home.” But as the years go by, you learn there is another kind of trouble—the kind you didn’t cause, didn’t invite, and couldn’t avoid. Trouble doesn’t always knock before it enters. Jesus said in John 16:33, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” This song became especially personal to me as I thought about the troubles that came into my wife’s life and mine. Sometimes we can even begin to wonder whether somehow we caused what happened, or whether things might have been different if we had done something differently. But one thought kept coming back to me: I didn’t mean to get Him in trouble—but I did. And He stayed with me in trouble. The promise was never that trouble would not come. The promise is that when it does, we do not face it alone. “I will be with him in trouble.” — Psalm 91:15 I hope Yet Trouble Came will be an encouragement to someone who is walking through a trouble they never asked for and never saw coming. — Joshua E Stone Original Christian music by Joshua E.
