I Rode Into the Appalachians Alone

I went solo motorcycle camping deep in the Appalachian Mountains, expecting nothing more than some rough trails, mountain views, and a quiet night alone in the woods. Instead, the trip got a little stranger than I expected. Along the way I came across old gravestones, missing person posters, abandoned-looking areas, and some seriously rough terrain. Then things took another turn when I wrecked my bike miles into the mountains. This trip had everything — incredible scenery, sketchy trails, strange discoveries, and the reality of being completely alone when things don’t go according to plan.
