Lit Calculus 78: Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and the Mean Value Theorems

Math at Andrews University: math.andrews.edu We discuss the relationship between the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and the Mean Value Theorems. First, we show how the Fundamental Theorem shows that the two versions of the MVT -- for derivatives and integration -- are equivalent. Then we use the MVT to sketch a proof of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
