This is the Cressy Road level crossing in Winchelsea, Victoria, Australia. This level crossing is located on the Warrnambool railway line. At the time I filmed the level crossing it was a flashing light setup, and was in the process of receiving boom gates as part of Stage 2 of the Warrnambool railway line upgrade. There is one track going through this level crossing which is broad gauge. This level crossing is maintained by V/Line The level crossing equipment consisted of: A Safetran Type 3 electronic bell on the north eastern flashing light signal. Westinghouse crossarms with branded and unbranded older style Westinghouse LED lights. Level crossing ahead signs with an illustration of a level crossing signal. There is also one on Mousley Road which has an on side road sign below. Level crossing ahead road markings with a rail diagram. Level crossing history: Flashing lights were installed in September 1984. Here’s the level crossing in June 2008 when it had a Westinghouse hybrid bell, Westinghouse incandescent lights, and black background stop on red signal signs: https://www.railgeelong.com/gallery/g... This level crossing was upgraded with boom gates in July 2024. Filming date: 24th of February 2024
