Elitist - In the Rearview (Audio Stream)

Unreleased track / B-side from their debut self-titled record. (This band has disbanded, reformed as Dualist, debut EP "Be Here Now" out now) Lyrics: Never thought I’d live to see the day Always seemed so fleeting Until the floodgates opened up And now I’m seeing clearly. With these hands I’ll make history With these hands I’ll make history I’m gonna find my place this time It’s right there for the taking Gonna leave my fears behind And never look back again. Please don’t follow me because I won’t be here for long Saying it honestly, don’t pretend to be something that you’re not. Please remember me, you’re gonna miss me when I’m gone. It’s okay to be a little scared to lose what you love the most. No one will ever see the person you are if you never put it out there. You’ll never find the passion for something If you’re too afraid to have faith in the first place. Give it all you got. Write your way into history. Show the world you’re not just another soul wasted in a mindless body. I’m gonna find my place this time It’s right there for the taking Gonna leave my fears behind And never look back again. With these hands I’ll write history Set aside distraction and finally take a direction. With these hands I'll write history Set aside distraction and finally take a direction. Please don’t follow me because I won’t be here for long Saying it honestly, don’t pretend to be something that you’re not. Please remember me, you’re gonna miss me when I’m gone. It’s okay to be a little scared to lose what you love the most.
