Barbarini's Tambourine - Double Concertina

Aaron Marcus and Jody Kruskal play old dance tunes. With no dancers present, they indulge themselves by stepping up, well beyond the essential requirements of a traditional dance hall… into a world of playful extravagance, rhythmic luxury and musical indulgence. This session of unrehearsed videos were all taken on a single afternoon in windy Brooklyn NY. Here they are, warts and all, as Aaron and Jody playfully “play outside the box”. Aaron Marcus plays a Hayden-duet concertina by Morse, Jody Kruskal plays a G/D Anglo concertina by Dipper and a C/G Anglo concertina by Jefferies.
