This was my reaction to Morrissey – "Suedehead," and it was another enjoyable dive into that unmistakable late-'80s alternative sound. Right away, I was struck by how nostalgic this track feels. The jangly guitars, bright drum sound, and overall production immediately transport you back to that era. It's one of those songs that captures the spirit of alternative rock from the late '80s without trying too hard—it just sounds authentic. Of course, the biggest focal point is Morrissey's voice. The more I hear him, the more I notice little details in his delivery. He has these unique vocal inflections that make him instantly recognizable, and while they're unconventional, they fit his style perfectly. Whether you're a longtime fan or hearing him for the first time, there's no mistaking who's singing. The music video also caught my attention. Early on, I noticed references to James Dean, including newspaper clippings and photographs. As the video continued, I realized Morrissey had visited Fairmount, Indiana, James Dean's hometown and final resting place, even showing the famous spot where Dean wrote his name in wet concrete. That added an interesting historical layer to the video that I really enjoyed. Overall, this was another solid Morrissey song for me.
