RIAZ IN RAAG DESI TODI | Ali Sethi with Farida Khanum | Iftikhar Joseph on tabla

SOHBAT صحبت . meaning: companionship, consorting, side-by-side-ness. IMO this is the only way to “learn” raga music, which is all about “guided play” or “improvising persuasively” (paradox after paradox!) 😭😭😭 so when I am sitting with maestra #FaridaKhanum in #Lahore I try to “absorb-and-emit” what I am hearing (instead of trying to “unpack it” or “break it down”). A lot of times I sound like a broken record... but sometimes I make a nice landing, and earn a smile from the Legend 😇😇😇 #alisethi #faridakhanum #raga #music #lesson #tradition #Lahore #themusiclesson #classical #music Wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_S...
