Johnathan Morin- An Indigenous Artist

I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of Luminato Festival this year as a part of the GOLDEN HOUR segment this last spring. Huge thanks to Travis Knights for curating this great project and the Luminato Crew for everything you did to put this together. We talk about what it means to be canadian. I think its very relevant in whats going on today as we talk about how my growing up it was difficult to relate or practice my indigenous culture and way of life. Trying to find identity through the african american artform of tap dance has helped me forge my way through my life so far. However moving forward I think its important to vocalize and be upfront about who i am. I am an Indigenous artist. I thank this project for helping me sort out my thoughts and feelings towards these tough questions that ive been looking to answer. This is just the beginning
