But it has always been worth it. In this walk-and-talk video, I reflect on my journey from the life I once knew to the life I’ve created for myself here in the south of France, where I’ve now lived for nearly nine years. Along the way, I’ve had to let go of some deeply held ideas about who I am, what I’m capable of, and how I’m supposed to live. Four identities, in particular, had to shift.
