A dusk-to-night walk from Higashi-Mukojima to Kanegafuchi in Sumida, Tokyo. We start beside the Tobu Museum, where a retired limited express and a steam locomotive stand by the street, then slip into narrow Showa-era lanes. As night falls we pass Nagaura Shrine and Sumida Inari Shrine, a backstreet snack bar, a lane with a view of Tokyo Skytree, and the long "disaster-prevention" housing wall along Bokutei-dori, before visiting Sumidagawa Shrine and Tamonji Temple. The walk ends at Kanegafuchi Station — "Bell Pool," named for a temple bell said to have sunk in the Sumida River — as trains roll through the crossing. No talking, no music — just the sounds of the town. Route: Higashi-Mukojima Station → Kanegafuchi Station (Tobu Skytree Line) Weather: Sunny, 22°C / 72°F, filmed in October 2026 Turn on captions (CC) for a few quiet notes along the way.
