In my experience of the folk tradition, techniques tend to be somewhat informal, variable, and flexible, so take what I say with a grain of salt :) My thoughts on fiddling are based on my own personal musical experience. If you’re looking for more formal violin technique and instruction, there are other resources out there that are geared towards that! These videos are not intended as a substitute for the advice of a medical professional (when it comes to any thoughts on techniques such as posture, hand placement, etc). Happy fiddling, friends! 🎻 ✨
