NPC Data Driven Care DEC Award Winner: Lifeways Group

Every organisation using digital systems is collecting data. What separates good from truly outstanding is what happens next, whether that information actually changes a decision, a rota, a care plan, on the same day it's captured. This award celebrates the providers who've made that leap, from data as a box-ticking exercise to data as part of how care actually gets delivered. Runners Up: Excelcare Sanctuary Care Methodist Homes MHA Lifeways is our Data-Driven Care winner, and given their scale, that's no small achievement. As one of the largest supported living providers in the country, with around 11,000 colleagues supporting thousands of people across England, Scotland and Wales, it would be very easy for data to become noise rather than insight. Instead, Lifeways has used Nourish Analytics to build a genuine culture where data is there to improve outcomes, not just to report on them. Automated reporting and dashboards have cut administrative burden while giving managers and frontline teams real oversight of compliance, risk and quality, and crucially, the confidence to act on what they see. That's the shift this award is really looking for: from collecting information to actually using it, every day, to deliver safer, more accountable, person-centred care.
