Plates Turned On a Glue Block

I had a project turning a bunch of plates. I had a good bit of 3/4 and 4/4 lumber that was suitable, but how do you hold the blank to get started? I used a Forstner bit to drill a recess on one of them. But then I remembered a club member talking about gluing on a glue block using CA. So, I gave it a try and decided that I really like this method. Take a look and see if maybe this method is a good one for you when turning thin stock.
