Wild Bank from Stalybridge Country Park - 2nd August 2025

A walk with Luca up Wild Bank from Stalybridge Country Park in Greater Manchester, on the edge of the Peak District national park. We ascended the steep direct route up the western side of Wild Bank. The views from the summit of Wild Bank were fantastic with Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and the northern Peak District hills all in view. We descended east off the hill over Hollingsworth all Moor before dropping to Swineshaw reservoirs. A long descent on a tarmac road saw us pass all four reservoirs in the valley and return to Stalybridge Country Park. Another fabulous memorable hike with Luca on my back. He loves it again and as he is now walking he bagged the trig point himself on foot when we reached the summit.
