Ariel: Episode 2

For Ariel: Episode 1: https://rumble.com/v7homws-ariel-the-... Jerusalem has another name. An ancient name, buried in the pages of the prophet Isaiah. Ariel. Isaiah calls it the city where David encamped. The name is mysterious. It can mean Lion of God. But the same Hebrew word is associated with the altar hearth—the place where sacrifices are consumed by fire. A lion. An altar. A city. Somehow all three together describe Jerusalem’s divinely appointed destiny. But when Isaiah calls Jerusalem Ariel in chapter 29, he isn't celebrating the city. He's warning it. God declares, “I will encamp against you all around.” The city God chose. The city of David. The place where God put his own name. And God himself announces that he will lay siege to it.
