#sevensleepers #ancientfaithkids #orthodoxchristian O glorious Seven Holy Youths, pray to God for us! (scroll down for words of the hymn!) This week Fr. Alexander talks about the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus, who stood up together for Christ, prayerfully accepting martyrdom. BUT, God showed His great mercy, and miraculously preserved them in sleep for 200 years! Join us to learn their hymn and know more of their story, celebrated every year on August 4th. Fr. Alexander is a priest at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix, AZ. After finding a lack of Orthodox story podcasts for kids, as father of his two children, Max and Penelope, he is here to share the wealth of knowledge and wisdom we get about our faith just from reading the lives of the saints of our Church. Send along your children’s questions about a saint or our Faith to: fraeliades@holytrinityphx.org or wondrous@ancientfaith.com Fact: The seven youths were all friends and soldiers and Christians! The seven holy youths abode in the cave as in a royal chamber, and died without falling into corruption; and after much time they arose as if from sleep, as an assurance of the resurrection of all men.
