From that point on, the crowd can be heard cheering as lightning strikes lit up the sky while thunder played along with the music, most notably during Money. People who attended the show claim that nature put on a better light show than the band did that night. At some point a rain awning above the backup singers had collapsed and drenched water all over them and the stage. The band tried to continue through Run Like Hell (now Rain Like Hell) but equipment failures forced them to end the show part way through the song. Shortly after, all power to the stadium had gone out. Rec 1, the highest quality source, was missing Astronomy Domine in its entirety and part of the beginning of Learning To Fly. Astronomy Domine is fully sourced from rec 2, while learning to fly is from rec 2, then 3, and then a matrix of 1&3 for the rest of the song. This show felt a bit fractured, and actually getting to work on a "complete" version gave me some further appreciation for this concert, and its eccentricies. Actually trying to sync up two particular tapes together for certain sections was easily the most frustrating part of the project, as I had to do a lot of waiting to see if rec3 can sync up with rec1, which got tedious after a while. It's likely something that I'll have to get used to, since the end results for both partial matrixing tracks were fantastic. I think this show turned out pretty good, and I hope this work inspires someone else to go take a stab at something like this. This is not meant to be a definitive version of this date, but it's rather a personal exercise in coping with a world that's on fire figuratively.
