Dove Finisce il Cielo is an Italian operatic piece for mezzo-soprano, harp, string quartet. The song is about mortality, memory and what survives us, though it never speaks of death directly. Its central metaphor is that a person may disappear, while something of them remains as a note beyond the reach of time. The arrangement is restrained and atmospheric, with the harps carrying much of the emotional movement with the strings widening the harmonic space.
