🙏 Welcome to Kamakoti Vijayam 🙏 In Part 2 of our exploration of the Mani Mandapam in Orikkai, we uncover why this specific location is considered a powerful "Punya Kshetram" (holy land). With a river, a cremation ground, and a Shiva temple nearby, Maha Periyava recognized the divine similarities between this land and Kashi. Today, this space is a thriving center for Dharma, managed by the Mahalakshmi Mathrubootheswarar Trust (SSM Trust). ✨ Highlights of the Mani Mandapam Complex: The Monolithic Nandi: A breathtaking 50-ton Nandi carved from a single stone, even larger than the famous Nandi at Thanjavur! The Rudraksha Mandapam: A divine canopy made from 20,000 Rudrakshas sourced directly from Nepal. Chaturmasyam Legacy: This holy site has hosted the Chaturmasyam Vratam for three generations of Kanchi Acharyas, including the current Peethadhipati, Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. Dharmic Activities: The trust actively runs a Veda Pathashala for 54 students, a Goshala protecting 210 native cows, and conducts daily Nithya Anna Danam. Many devotees come here to pray to Maha Periyava for help with life's difficulties, finding peace and solutions through his eternal grace.
