The Airboss mechanical was introduced in 2011 and uses the ETA-2824 Basic Specs: Feature a 42mm case(316L) Automatic Large luminous Arabic numerals Exhibition case back Self winding movement ETA-2824 Water resistant 100m This thing is a beauty! Once I opened the box I liked what I saw. I was looking for a good beater that was relatively inexpensive and this one fit the bill nicely. It has a classic design and is very easy to read day or with the glow at night. The watch does feel a little big but not overwhelming. The bracelet is nice and but has sharp edges. It feels like it needs a little bit of rounding out. The clasp is a butterfly type clasp with a secondary fold down lock. I am not a fan of the butterfly but it's not a deal breaker. The case is not very thick and houses a tried and true ETA 2824 movement which is reliable and consistently accurate. The dial is clear and feature bold applied numerals which was one of the main draws for me. Especially considering there's no sub-dials or other complications that's cuts into the numerals which make a clean and easy to read face. The luminous material they use is very bright and highly legible The build quality is solid and with sapphire front and back it should be able to take a beating. I'm quite surprised at the build quality and value. One of my favorites right now. This would be a good candidate if you are looking at entry level automatics and competes with the Hamilton khaki series. I had some trouble with the clasp which is what I don't like about this watch but maybe in time I will get used to the victorinox clasp.
