Respiratory organ in Scoliodon (Dog fish)

Dog fish is an aquatic animal, it depends wholly upon oxygen dissolved in sea water for respiration. Thus ,respiration is aquatic and carried on entirely by vascular gills. The respiratory organs of scoliodon consists of 5 pair of gill pouches containing gills.
