Mercedes Benz SL500 2003-2006 Battery/Alternator Stop Vehicle Red Light

2003 SL500 came in with two red messages on the instrument cluster. Battery/Alternator Stop Vehicle STOP Brake defective stop vehicle These lights appear when the battery in the trunk (Consumers Battery) is not being charged by the alternator or it's under voltage. In this particular case the consumers battery was drained because the alternator was not charging it. The alternator did not have voltage at the Battery + bolt. I replaced it with a remanufactured alternator from Autozone. The new alternator did have 14.7 volts at the Battery + bolt. However, the charge was not reaching the consumers battery. The reason was the 200 amp mega fuse in the front prefuse block located in the passenger side footwell labeled F52 was not secured properly. One of the 13mm nuts was loose. After tightening the nut, the new alternator was charging both batteries the rear consumers battery and the front starter battery.
