Phantoms, Gray Ghosts, these are both names that are commonly used when talking about Great Gray Owls, and for good reason! These beautiful Owls can appear out of nowhere, just like a ghost, and disappear just as quickly. These are birds that captivate many a bird watcher and photographer and for years, I've been absolutely obsessed with them! In this weeks adventure, I head out on a journey to explore some of the thick forests of the north in my search for these mystical Owls. This is an area I've passed through before, but also an area I'm still not too familiar with. Great Gray Owls are a species that is not found in my area, so anytime I want to start looking for them, I need to travel quite a distance just to begin my search. This week, I take you along with me as I backpack, hike and search these beautiful forests, all in hopes to photograph this gorgeous bird! As always, I strive to be as respectful to the animals I photograph and observe as I possibly can. As a professional wildlife photographer, it's my responsibility to respect the beautiful animals I photograph, I encourage you to do the same. Have a wonderful week, we'll see you next time! I now have my 2023 Wildlife Calendar available for order. Please help support me and my channel by picking one up today, thanks in advance! https://www.jimmybreitenstein.com/sto...
