Who is the Alpha and the Omega? · Revelation 1

The first sermon in our series on the Lord Jesus and His church in the book of Revelation. Revelation is about the day of Jesus' victory, shared with His people. Its courage rests on who He is: the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, the ruler of the kings of the earth, who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood. The same Lord who told Moses "Be strong and courageous" stands over John and says, "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last," and He holds the keys of death and Hades. 0:00 A new series: Jesus and His church 1:07 The day of Jesus' victory 3:08 From Jesus to John (Revelation 1:1-2) 5:59 The same Lord who spoke to Moses (Deuteronomy 31) 8:04 Who do you say Jesus is? 11:27 Faithful witness, firstborn from the dead, ruler of kings 13:07 He loves us and has freed us by His blood 15:09 "Look, he is coming with the clouds" 16:31 "I am the Alpha and the Omega" 17:46 Becoming part of His story 21:34 "Do not be afraid" 23:01 The keys of death and Hades 26:25 Too small a vision of Jesus Next in the series: When love for Jesus goes cold · Revelation 2 St Crispin's Church, 16a Highbury Place, London N5 1QP (2 minutes from Highbury & Islington station) Sundays 11am, coffee from 10:30 and lunch together afterwards Sketch Club, Wednesdays 7-9pm, no experience needed Thursdays 6:30-8pm, a bite to eat, then prayer and Bible study stcrispinschurch.org
