Hello, my friends! 🌹✨ I’ve been collecting supplies for glassblowing and flameworking for more than 30 years, and over that time I’ve gathered a pretty wonderful collection of delicate Millefiori murrini. These tiny, hand-pulled floral murrini have always inspired me. I’ve always loved the beautiful Italian-made Millefiori pendants, and I have several of them in my own collection. 🌸✨ Ever since my 102.83 Millefiori Pendant demonstration, I’ve been wanting to take the idea a little further and create a Millefiori Murrini Mandala Marble. I finally decided to give it a try—and this one was definitely a process! 🤩 This marble took about an hour and a half to complete. There was a lot of careful placement, layering, heating, and shaping involved in bringing all of those tiny pieces of murrini together into one large mandala pattern. For this video, I’ve condensed the process into a quicker version so you can enjoy watching the marble come together without having to spend the entire hour and a half with me at the torch! 🔥🌈 As challenging as this piece was, I was really excited to see how large it became. The finished marble ended up at approximately 1½ inches in diameter, which meant I was very happy to have a few marble molds in my studio that were actually large enough to handle it! 😄 There’s something really special about working with Millefiori murrini. Each tiny piece already contains so much detail, and when you bring many of them together, they become something completely different—a colorful little mosaic captured inside glass. Watching the mandala pattern develop as I built this marble was such a rewarding experience. I’m really proud of how this one turned out, and I hope you enjoy this Millefiori Murrini Mandala Marble as much as I enjoyed making it! I hope it inspires you to dig through your own collection of glass, try something a little challenging, and see where the process takes you. 🌹✨ Hugs and Cheers to you all! — Robin 🌈👽🛸✨✨✨ ⸻ 🌹🌹🌹 Many Thanks to our Members and Supporters!! 🌹🌹🌹 ✨✨ Vicki R., Mary B., Evelyn, Marcia T., Christina P., Shellene W., Ann M., Olive P., Leisa P., Christine, Kathy, Heather O., Suzi B., and Deb M.! ✨✨ 🌈🤩💫 Memberships, Support & Shop – buymeacoffee.com/scottwoodresearch 🌹✨ Support through Venmo: @robinschultes 💫🌹 Private flameworking lessons are now available here at Scottwood Research in Toledo, Ohio!
