Solar on Farmland? Agrivoltaics with Jared Bonou, Cornell University

Dr. Jared Buono, Senior Research Associate at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University, and Director of the Hudson Valley Research and Extension Center. Dr. Buono will provide an overview of the current state of agricultural research on agrivoltaics – the integration of solar energy production and agriculture on the same land. The presentation will highlight the latest results from Cornell’s field research, emerging lessons from projects in New York and beyond, and plans for future agrivoltaic research installations, including solar arrays designed specifically for commercial apple orchards.
