This is a video of me fighting FF VIII's only potential superboss Omega Weapon by resorting exclusively to the attack command as I have not broken any of the Seals in Ultimecia's castle (like    • FF VIII Omega Weapon Solo Character, Attac...  ), thus rendering the attack command the only way to inflict damage to Omega Weapon and to actually beat it. Note that with all seals still unbroken, Limits will not be available, as will magic, items, G.F.s etc. This also means that Phoenix, even though he might show up in case Omega Weapon kills one's entire party, will not be able to revive one (his attack will permanently miss). Insofar, this battle can be considered as a hardcore challenge. Nonetheless, the battle itself is not too hard, provided one follows a certain setup that regrettably requires A LOT of tedious preparation. In order to survive Omega Weapon's Megiddo Flame and Terra Break one has to be able to restore HP, since gaining temporary invincibility to survive these attacks is impossible without breaking the Limit seal. Yet, the only way to restore HP without restorative magic, items or limits is by elemental absorption. The only elements giving enough, i.e. 100% absorption, are the wind element through the Tornado spell, the holy element through the eponymous spell and the earth element through the Quake Spell. For the amount of HP restored to be sufficient, however, it is mandatory to have extremely low VIT stats, which is just fine as Omega's physical attack is the only one dealing damage based on VIT but also the only one (nearly) guaranteed always to miss. In addition thereto, in order to gain enough turns in between Omega's and since I can only have two characters attack him, the attacking characters must be berserked as this drastically reduces the time needed to input the attack command and boosts the damage dealt by 50%. In order to survive Terra Break, which incidentally ignores VIT, one will either have to be inconceivably lucky or not so lucky but have all characters on Auto-Protect and (two of them) in the zombie status. Attacking a zombie with an element it absorbs is also the only way to still be healed when simultaneously attacking that zombie with drain as a status attack. A maximum luck stat is needed at least for the healing character. By all means, it is best to refrain from using Squall in this battle scenario because his critical attacks only deal 150% of normal attack damage as opposed to 200% of normal attack damage of all other characters' critical hits. Note as well that I healed Omega in the last part of the fight to extend the battle until he would use Terra Break as I intended to show that it is very well possible to survive that attack without employing the defend command or G.F. shields. In terms of randomness, this battle is only slightly dependant on real life luck insofar as one merely must be given enough turns before Omega chooses to advance in his set attack pattern (in particular between Gravija and Terra Break). Apart from that, the battle is rather a strategic one and the result is quite easily reproducible (if one sacrifices enough time to boost one's characters and make the game clock flash in its penultimate color...;)). Feel very free to ask any kind of questions at least slightly related to the video.
