LOUD VOITH! Santa Clara VTA 2002 Gillig Low Floor 40’ #2031 | Route 66

I don’t know if I’m saying this because I was filming at the back of the bus, or because the bus itself is naturally loud, or because I just like the bus in general, but this Voith felt really loud. I really like it. I currently consider 2031 one of my favorite VTA diesel buses because of just how good the acceleration sounds. This recording serves as a Take Two of my first ride on 2031 on the 66 back in December 2024, which I ended up scrapping. Since I took pictures of 2031 back in December, I did not bother with taking more pictures on the day of this recording and used one of my December shots as my thumbnail. Surprisingly, this time around, I had zero passengers board from Snell & Calero, where a large group of students and chaperones from a nearby school would fill the bus up every time I rode the 66 northbound in the area at around 9:15-9:30 AM. I was left with the bus to myself for quite a while, with nobody else boarding until Snell & Branham. All said, I hope you guys enjoy.
