Maragala Mountain | Documentry #1

1111m height this mountain is situated in the Moneragala district. Actually, this is a mountain range. The Maragala mountain range has few mountain tops, those are called Ethgala, Sitha kanda. This mountain range that provides water to the whole Moneragala district. Although there is some connection to this mountain range in the history of King Maha Ravana, there is evidence to suggest that Queen Sugala was living in this area. Later, British people cleared the area and planted tea, which makes sense for the climate on this side. And if there are a few bungalows built by British in this mountain range and bungalow called Geelong is the popular one of them. As far as I know, on clear weather, you can see the great surroundings as far as Arugam Bay beach. If you can spend a night on the mountain of Maragala it is better because you can watch a billion stars at night and take a nap or take some captures of the Milky Way.
