Lawyer Karanja Exposes Gaps in Case Against Three Mbagathi Workers Over Body Release

Lawyer Karanja has exposed gaps in the prosecution’s case against three Mbagathi Hospital workers accused of conspiring to facilitate the irregular release of a body to family members. During cross-examination, the investigating officer was questioned over the missing patient file, the alleged Sh30,000 payment, the lack of documentary evidence and procedures followed during the body’s release. The prosecution has since closed its case, with the defence expected to file written submissions before the court determines whether the accused have a case to answer.
