Welcome to another inspiring video on our channel!
Today, we follow the incredible journey of Ly Thi Vien, a young woman over 25 who chooses to live life on her own terms. When her parents encourage her to get married, she refuses, leading to a serious conflict. Eventually, they ask her to leave the home she had built and begin living independently.
With only a few belongings, she heads deep into the forest and spends her first night near a large rock. But instead of giving up, she makes a bold decision: she will build a new life for herself in the mountains.
Using mainly natural materials from the forest, especially strong bamboo, she begins building a beautiful two-story bamboo house. She carefully selects sturdy bamboo poles for the main structure, raises the house more than one meter above the ground, and creates a traditional bamboo floor and walls inspired by the mountain homes of northern Vietnam.
For the roof, she uses palm leaves and other natural forest materials to keep construction simple and affordable. She then builds a separate bamboo kitchen house, connecting it to the main house with a bamboo walkway and staircase.
But her dream doesn't stop with a house.
She gradually transforms the surrounding land into a small self-sufficient homestead. She builds a spacious bamboo duck enclosure, allowing her ducks to move around comfortably. Next, she digs a fish pond beside the house and releases fish into the water.
Around the pond, she plants flowers to create a peaceful and beautiful natural garden. She also builds a small bamboo pavilion over the pond, complete with a wooden table where she can sit, drink tea, relax, and enjoy the quiet surroundings.
Finally, she builds additional bamboo fences around the property to protect her home and animals while giving the entire homestead a traditional and beautiful appearance.
From being forced to leave home to building her own bamboo house, kitchen, duck farm, fish pond, garden, and peaceful mountain homestead, her journey is a powerful story of independence, determination, and self-sufficient living.
Watch until the end to see how she transforms a wild piece of land into a remarkable off-grid bamboo homestead in the forest.
