EPISODE 2: In the moment After over a year of hard work, lore research, and technical development, the very first episode of the series is finally here! For this project, I really wanted to create something true to Animal Crossing: New Leaf while pushing the visual quality as far as possible. It took quite a few steps: Analyzing each villager's backstory and personality on Nookipedia to stay faithful to their character. Extracting and reworking 3DS environments and models to adapt them to 4K in Blender without losing the game's original art style. Coding a custom Python script to recreate the ACNL "Animalese" voice engine identically. Developing my own custom Blender add-ons to streamline the animation and staging workflow. This first episode sets the stage, and there are plenty more surprises in store for what's next. I truly hope you enjoy it!
