Lyrics : It’s time to share dreams Let them travel farther than our eyes can see It’s time to share dreams Let tomorrow grow from what we choose to be We spent too long protecting little rooms of gold Then wondered why our open hands grew cold We raised our towers one guarded stone at a time Only to watch their shadows steal the light Yet every bridge began in one clear mind And reached the other shore when hands combined It’s time to share dreams And give tomorrow more than what we own It’s time to share dreams No one can build a future all alone Open every window, every door Let every voice become part of the score If we loosen what we hold too tight A thousand sparks can fill the world with light The earth was never promised to a crown The wind won’t stop where borders touch the ground We have the hands to mend what we have torn And leave a kinder world for those unborn The future isn’t something we can own It only grows from every seed we’ve sown It’s time to share dreams And give tomorrow more than what we own It’s time to share dreams No one can build a future all alone Open every window, every door Let every voice become part of the score If we loosen what we hold too tight A thousand sparks can fill the world with light We have mapped the atom and the stars Still we guard our little worlds as ours We send a whisper halfway round the earth Surely we can learn what trust is worth There is almost nothing we can’t do When every dream has room to make it through It’s time to share dreams And give tomorrow more than what we own It’s time to share dreams No one can build a future all alone Open every window, every door There is room for every voice and more When we stop deciding who may rise We may finally meet tomorrow’s eyes It’s time to share dreams Let every guarded river find the sea It’s time to share dreams And build the world that only we can dream
