POCKET MIRROR: Adrian Murray on AI, Isolation & the Illusion of Reality | VIFF Interview

What happens when technology becomes the one thing you trust most? I sat down with director Adrian Murray at VIFF to talk about Pocket Mirror, a quietly unsettling film about Maisie, a lonely young woman who becomes convinced that her cat has been replaced by a replica while an AI chatbot becomes her closest confidant. We get into the intentional production design, Sofia Banzhaf’s elite lead performance, and what the film is really saying about our relationship with technology, isolation and the reality we construct around ourselves. A sharp, strange and deeply modern film that leaves you questioning what’s real and what isn’t. 🍿🐈‍⬛🪞 Full interview with Adrian Murray available on YouTube. #explore #VIFF #PocketMirror #AdrianMurray #SceneDMs #Film #cinematic
