Camino Primitivo, Part 2, Oviedo to Santiago de Compestella

I’m a long-distance hiker based in Australia, with a passion for discovering what can happen when we simply put one foot in front of the other. So far, I’ve completed five Caminos, trekked to Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal in Nepal, and walked sections of the beautiful Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia. For me, long-distance walking is about much more than the kilometres we cover. It’s about stepping away from everyday life, improving our physical and mental wellbeing, embracing adventure, meeting incredible people, and discovering what we’re truly capable of. The Camino changed my life. It taught me that we are often stronger and braver than we realise, and that some of life’s greatest experiences begin with a single step. Through this channel, I hope to inspire you to begin your own journey. You don’t have to be an experienced hiker — you just have to start.
