A modern retelling of Homer's Iliad, Kingmaker explores the consequences of modern weapons as seen through the eyes of their creator. During the long war with Troy, the Greek generals become frustrated with the interference of the gods. They attack Mount Olympus in the ultimate act of heresy. Their leading scientist struggles with this decision, forced to confront his pride and horror when he encounters the goddess Artemis. Kingmaker was shot in the Seattle area in 2002 and released in 2003. The film is an ultra low-budget independent production shot on MiniDV. This version is a 4K upscale and given a black and white treatment.
