Some interesting moves this weapon has: Crushing Thunder - This sheathes skill has some unique aspects to it. For starters it can pretty much be held indefinitely as shown here. It also has a deflect and guard point as it comes out. So, despite its slow windup time, you can sort of pre-emptively start the move and then wait and counter enemies next attack (provided it's not multi-hitting or a grab) Slicing Thrust - You can do this move after any successful deflect and it also seems to have some i-frames. Not a ton of damage but it can slightly reposition you and give you an opportunity to squeeze in some damage in situations where normally you wouldn't have enough time. Thunder Roar - One of the strongest moves Hoko and Shield seems to have. The deflect point is at the very start and the followup attack is quite strong. Apparently, it also does different followups pending on the move it parried but I didn't look too much into this. Just opted to my own followups after with TMTM cancels. Parting Slash - Decently strong move that propels you backwards. In this run I mainly used it for damage, so I opted to TMTM cancel it and stick next to the boss. But it definitely can be used as repositioning/evasion tool, and I hope to showcase this aspect of it in future runs. In future videos I will try to showcase Hoko and Shield's ability to deflect multiple times with multiple moves in quick succession more (since all of its strong normals can deflect).
