Tour of Red River Ski Resort in Red River, New Mexico

Two fantastic days at Red River, New Mexico. This charming town and the ski area fold into each other. You can walk from the deli to the lift. And the town is a classic ski town - not ruined. Not vailified. No McDonalds or any chain restaurants. Not even a Starbucks! Just a real ski town "built by miners, not developers". And the mountain has great terrain with Aspen tree runs and nice variety for all skills. Family owned, Linton, Walt, Reed and the crew all do a great job of balancing tradition with modern upgrades. Definitely a special escape here. Music by my fav BTV 90's rockers Wide Wail
