IF YOU’RE RUNNING EMPTY, THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP YOU FIND STRENGTH AGAIN | Bishop T.D. Jakes
*IF YOU’RE RUNNING EMPTY, THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP YOU FIND STRENGTH AGAIN | Bishop T.D. Jakes*
What happens when everyone around you needs something from you, but you have nothing left to give?
In this powerful message, Bishop T.D. Jakes teaches from John 15:9–17 and speaks directly to people who keep pouring into their families, relationships, children, careers, ministries, and responsibilities while quietly becoming empty inside. His central message is simple but powerful: *you cannot keep pouring into others if nothing is pouring back into you.*
Some people look strong on the outside while running on fumes inside.
They keep showing up.
They keep providing.
They keep helping.
They keep encouraging everyone else.
But almost nobody asks how they are doing.
Bishop T.D. Jakes reveals that true strength is not only about money, achievement, or being physically present. Real strength also requires emotional presence, love, sacrifice, attention, prayer, and the ability to pour life into the people God has placed around you.
One of the strongest truths in this sermon is:
*You cannot give what was never poured into you.*
Some people struggle to love because they were never shown healthy love.
Some fathers struggle to pour into their children because nobody poured into them.
Some husbands are physically present but emotionally exhausted.
Some leaders spend their lives filling everyone else while secretly wondering who will fill them.
And some people have become so accustomed to appearing strong that nobody realizes how empty they really feel.
This message will help you understand why emotional exhaustion happens and why constantly giving without being replenished can leave you spiritually and emotionally drained.
🔥 Learn why presence can matter more than presents.
🔥 Discover why love gives while selfish desire only takes.
🔥 Understand why emotional availability matters inside a family.
🔥 Learn how old father wounds can influence the way you love today.
🔥 Recognize the danger of looking strong while becoming empty inside.
🔥 Understand why even strong leaders need someone to pour into them.
🔥 Learn where to turn when the people around you cannot give you what you need.
Bishop T.D. Jakes also challenges men to understand that providing financially is only one part of responsibility. Your family may appreciate what you provide, but they also need your attention, your prayers, your emotional presence, your wisdom, and your love.
One of the most powerful illustrations in the sermon is the image of an expensive pitcher that looks beautiful but contains no water.
It looks valuable.
It looks impressive.
But it cannot satisfy anyone because it is empty.
That is the warning:
*You can look successful and still have nothing left inside.*
You can wear the right clothes.
Have the right job.
Own the right things.
Smile in front of everyone.
And still be exhausted emotionally.
This message is for the person who has been strong for too long.
The father who keeps providing but feels unseen.
The husband who does not know how to explain what he is carrying.
The leader everybody depends on.
The person who keeps saying “I’m fine” while silently running dry.
Bishop T.D. Jakes reminds us that even Paul, after pouring so much into others, reached a point where he needed Timothy. Even the strongest people have moments when they need care, encouragement, connection, and replenishment.
You do not have to spend the rest of your life pouring from an empty cup.
What you did not receive from people does not have to permanently determine what you are able to give.
You can learn a healthier way to love.
You can become emotionally present again.
You can find strength again.
You can allow God to replenish the places in you that life has drained.
If you feel tired, emotionally empty, overlooked, or like everyone needs something from you while nobody understands what you need, this message is for you.
🙏 Watch until the end and allow this message to challenge the way you love, give, lead, and receive strength.
