CASSIDY BLASTS RAPPERS USING GHOSTWRITERS‼️ (THROW-BACK)

Cassidy has one question for rappers he says have ghostwriters and every resource available: “Where is the music at?” He says he writes his own material and challenges artists to bring their own ideas to the mic. Speaking with Knowledge Tha God of HipHopIsReal, Cassidy questions comparisons between independent pens and performers using writing teams. He also explains how labels’ song selections can shape an artist’s public image—and why positive messages or street subject matter still need strong lyricism. Cassidy names no specific rapper in this discussion. Should writing your own lyrics be a requirement for ranking among rap’s best?
