How to Build a Quicker Basketball Shot Release | CLA Drill Example

Want your players to develop a quicker shot release? Stop simply telling them to “shoot faster” and create a practice task that demands it. In this video, I demonstrate a two-ball basketball shooting drill that uses time pressure as a task constraint. By passing two balls in rapid succession, the shooter has less time to catch, organize and release the first shot before the next ball arrives. This is the Constraints-Led Approach applied to shooting development.
