MOSES by ERICK BANDEIRA

Song "Moses" by Erick Bandeira - year 2026 The lyrics recount the epic biblical journey of Moses, from his infancy — when he was rescued from the waters of the Nile — to the conclusion of his mission atop the mountain. The text portrays his role as the leader chosen to proclaim monotheism and liberate the Hebrew people from captivity in Egypt. The narrative describes the intense spiritual and political confrontation between Moses and Pharaoh, detailing the unleashing of the Ten Plagues upon Egypt and the subsequent liberation of the slaves. It then addresses the pursuit by the Egyptian army and the destruction of its troops by the waters of the sea, demonstrating divine intervention. Finally, the lyrics depict the forty-year pilgrimage in the desert, the episode of the Golden Calf alongside the delivery of the tablets of the Law, and the completion of Moses's mission as he leads the purified people to the threshold of the Promised Land before his final departure. Lyrics (by Erick Bandeira): And then, a great man appeared in the world He came from the waters with a mighty mission: To tell the world That there is only one God in the universe And to bring to humanity His laws Found on the banks of the Nile He grew up and became a leader He got a mission: to free the Hebrews from slavery And lead them to the Promised Land And proclaim to the world the existence of the one true God A war broke out between the great leader and the Pharaoh The plagues were unleashed And the power of God was revealed The water turned to blood Frogs swarmed the land Invasions of locusts, lice, and gnats Destruction of the crops Death of the livestock A plague of boils afflicted the people Hailstones fell from the sky Darkness covered the land for three days The final and most devastating plague: At midnight, every firstborn in the land of Egypt died The Pharaoh then surrendered And freed the Hebrews from slavery The power of God had triumphed over imperial stubbornness Regret overtook the Pharaoh His troops then tried to capture the Hebrews But the power of God was revealed once more The waters of the sea turned into giant waves And crashed down upon Pharaoh's troops But the power of God was revealed once more The waters of the sea turned into giant waves And crashed down upon Pharaoh's troops. In the desert, the great leader waited For the word of God While his people worshipped the golden calf He received His laws The covenant was broken In his anger, the leader smashed the tablets And burned the false golden god Forty years in the desert And his mission had come to an end He delivered the people, pure and sinless, To the Promised Land He climbed the hill and never returned Another chapter of our history Came to an end Came to an end Produced by SUNO and Erick Bandeira - year 2026 All Rights Reserved
