Rebel Moon's Ed Skrein Addresses Admiral Noble's Unique Haircut

Exclusive: Ed Skrein speaks with CBR about why he won't miss sporting Admiral Noble's haircut after filming Rebel Moon. Playing the role of Admiral Atticus Noble in the Rebel Moon movies required sporting a rather unique haircut during production. While he wasn't exactly happy with the look, Ed Skrein also shared how his Admiral Noble haircut wasn't quite so bad. After appearing in A Child of Fire, Skrein is back as Admiral Noble in the new sequel, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver. To promote the film, Skrein spoke with CBR's Kevin Polowy, and the actor addressed his character's bold hairstyle. Skrein shared a story of how he learned that people were probably judging him for the haircut, but while he wasn't a fan of the bangs, he enjoyed how it felt having his skin fade touched up daily. "Not one bit. It's funny, man. The manager of my kid's old football team, I saw him, and he was like, 'Oh, I saw that movie that you just put out, the sci-fi one. Now I know why you were walking around with your hair like that for so long!' And I'm like, 'Yeah, not by choice, bud!' Everyone [was quietly judging me], I know they are. I tell you what. Genuinely, though, it was wonderful to have a fresh skin fade every day. That was crazy. Every day I was like, 'This is so privileged.' Every day, just touched up the skin fade, and it felt lovely. It was. It did feel lovely. So, it was just the bangs. The fringe in the front was tough." Ed Skrein also hyped the action sequences that are in store with The Scargiver. He acknowledged that the first installment didn't have quite so much action, given the exposition that was needed to help set up the story. Now that the story has been established, Skrein is promising that the sequel makes up for the lack of action set pieces in A Child of Fire. "I'm looking forward to everyone seeing all the action set pieces. They are spectacular. I think the first one , for our sake, you kind of needed that exposition to build up and to set it up, but, you know, there wasn't a huge amount of set pieces in the first one.
