The Day We Lost Our Best Friend | The Sims 4: Story

So… it’s been 7 years since I uploaded my last video. In 2019, my computer broke, and I lost access to all my Sims saves, projects and pretty much everything else I had on it. The damage was pretty severe, and I couldn’t afford to get it repaired or recover the data professionally, so I had to stop making videos. Also, if you’re wondering about all the ads on my old videos, I wasn’t in the YouTube Partner Program back then (I didn’t make any money of my videos). Those ads are from copyright claims because of the background music haha. Some time later, I bought a laptop and, after following countless tutorials, somehow managed to recover all my old files from the broken computer. I was so happy to have everything back, and I actually tried getting back into YouTube. I uploaded a few things, including some Shorts, but my laptop wasn’t powerful enough to handle playing The Sims, recording gameplay and editing videos. On top of that, after being away for so long, I felt a little embarrassed about coming back. I ended up deleting what I had uploaded because it felt weird, and eventually stopped trying again. Then life happened, I got busy, and years went by without me ever really coming back to YouTube. Recently, I found that same old laptop again and started going through my files. I came across so many things I had completely forgotten about, including this story I made years ago. Seeing it again brought back a lot of memories, and I thought it would be nice to finally share it here. I also want to say that I’m genuinely sorry for disappearing without ever explaining anything or reaching out. I haven’t really gone through the comments on my old videos since I left, mostly because I felt bad about being gone for so long and didn’t know how to respond. Maybe I did respond to some people, but I don’t really remember. Every now and then, though, I’d come across a comment in my notifications from someone asking where I was or if I was okay. I am okay, and I’m really sorry if my silence ever made you worry. I never meant to leave anyone wondering whether something had happened to me. Thank you to everyone who cared enough to ask. Even though I never responded, I appreciate it more than you know, and I’m sorry I never addressed it sooner. And now it’s been 7 years. Almost a decade, which is honestly kind of crazy to think about. I obviously don’t expect anyone from back then to still be here, but if you are… hi. :) I’m not really sure what this is supposed to be either. I don’t know if this is an attempt to start over, if I’ll make new videos, or if I’ll just upload some old things whenever I feel like it. I haven’t made a Sims video in years, so I genuinely have no idea. For now, I just wanted to finally share something I made all those years ago. It felt kind of nice seeing it again after so long (it’s two parts). Maybe I’ll make something new. Maybe I won’t.
