Driving in Xinjiang 4K HDR - Winding Through Endless Colorful Mountains

On this trip, we’ll drive into the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, China, for a journey through one of the region’s most colorful mountain landscapes. The route begins near Shitizi Township, west of Urumqi. At first, the road runs through relatively open foothills, but as we continue south, the terrain gradually rises and the road takes us deeper into the mountains. One of the highlights of this drive is the seemingly endless stretch of colorful Danxia mountains along the route. Vast areas of exposed rock follow the contours of the mountains, forming layers of red, orange, yellow, and earthy tones across the slopes. In the sunlight, the colors and textures of the rock become even more pronounced. Ridge after ridge stretches into the distance, with bands of color covering the mountainsides and filling the landscape around the road. As we continue driving south, the road winds its way through these colorful mountains. Around one bend, a new mountain appears ahead; after another turn, the valley opens up to reveal an even wider view of the layered rock formations. The scenery keeps changing as we drive, with the road, valleys, and colorful mountains constantly coming together from a new perspective. Farther south, the open foothills gradually give way to deeper mountain valleys. The road follows the changing terrain, with continuous turns and elevation changes along the way, while the mountains and rock formations continue to evolve around us. After leaving this spectacular mountain road behind, we eventually join S101, where this part of our journey comes to an end. Hope you enjoy the drive！
