He also went to Silver Falls State Park, famous for it's incredible waterfalls, to film the breathtaking beauty of this place for our viewers. In this video you will see: Silver Falls - 00:00 Columbia River Gorge - 33:33 Multnomah Falls, Columbia River Gorge - 53:17 Silver Falls State Park is famous for the Trail of Ten Falls, a 7.2-mile loop that passes ten waterfalls through a deeply forested canyon. What makes the trail especially unusual is that visitors can actually walk behind four of its waterfalls, including the 177-foot South Falls. The effect was created over immense periods of time as Silver Creek eroded softer rock beneath harder layers of basalt, gradually forming large recessed amphitheaters behind the falling water. The trail moves through towering Douglas firs, fern-covered canyon walls, streams, and multiple waterfall environments within a relatively compact area — one reason Silver Falls is often called the “crown jewel” of Oregon’s state park system.
