Buying the Cheapest Liveable House in France! | Full Cost Breakdown

We bought an abandoned 1830s French Forestry House (Maison Forestière) sight unseen—and it’s time for the FULL, unfiltered cost breakdown! Over half the comments on our first video asked what it actually costs to buy an abandoned house in France. YouTubers love to hide the numbers, but we’re not influencers—we’re just normal people, so we’re putting every single receipt and fee on screen. Buying through a French state forestry (ONF) auction isn't as simple as winning a bid. Between losing our first house, selling our vehicles for instant cash, dodging the SAFER land grab, and fighting off a ridiculous translator quote, the extra fees hit hard before we even touched the overgrown land. In Episode 2 of the Maison Forestière Orchard series, we’re sitting down on the sofa to open the full dossier—from our 6:01 AM auction bid and the 12,500-word deed translation, to the running cost tally and the bare-minimum clearance kit we had to buy just to reach our front door. 👇 LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS: 1 Did the final tally surprise you, or did you expect the notary and auction fees to bite that hard? 2 Would you have threatened to walk away on your birthday, or paid whatever they asked? 3 Don't forget to say hello to Wyatt and give him 5 golden stars! ⭐ 🌳 FOLLOW THE MAISON FORESTIÈRE ORCHARD JOURNEY: 📸 Instagram:   / maisonforestiereorchard   🎥 YouTube:    / @maisonforestiereorchard   🌐 Website: https://themaisonforestiere.fr/ 🗣️ Need a Sworn Legal Translator in Central France?
