April Boyde knew she wanted to teach people about financial literacy: she was forced to grow up quickly when family tragedy left her in charge of raising two of her younger brothers, plus a child of her own, all while pursuing a career in the military, and good financial management was paramount to not just surviving, but thriving. But she needed a distinct take on the topic, a way to stand out and help people see financial planning from a different angle. April realized that her personal experience as a young mom, Air Force veteran, and caregiver shaped a practical approach to financial literacy through the lens of everyday cooking. Now, as The Kitchen Strategist, April shares how food, budgeting, and kitchen systems can change a family’s financial life. And she's doing it from our own backyard, here in the greater Richmond area. April both guides individuals on how to make better grocery choices, doing a "pantry audit," and works with organizations to increase their financial literacy through the lens of food. If you're a real estate agent, helping your clients understand food budgeting may give them a clearer path to their mortgage planning. Banks and credit unions that offer financial literacy courses can integrate grocery planning as a key part of this education. But there's a deeper part to our conversation today too: it's a powerful demonstration of overcoming imposter syndrome, manifesting who you are, what you want, and how you can help others. April will leave you inspired, motivated and determined to jump out of your chair and tackle this crucial part of our everyday budgeting. “I’m on a mission to help you stop eating your money.” - April Boyde Learn more about April Boyde, The Kitchen Strategist: https://www.thekitchenstrategist.com/...    / @thekitchenstrategist     / thekitchenstrategist     / aprilboyde   Quick Favor: Please click the subscribe button to help us keep making great content for you.
