Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today on 25 October 2026. Today’s South Africa video opens with waves nearly reaching the excavators working on dune rehabilitation at Diaz Beach in Mossel Bay. Next, we visit the large Halloween bonfire at Robin Park in Jukskei Park, organised by OnArmor Security. Near Randfontein, a burned-out truck is unloaded beside the N14. Today’s South Africa video also takes you to the Cape Town Kite Festival. See hippos and elephants at Kruger National Park. The video also covers Hoedspruit, Durban, George, Graaff-Reinet, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, and many more places across the country. Enjoy coastal views, local events, wildlife, road scenes, and moments shared by people around South Africa. Follow each stop on the South Africa map, with location captions and temperature readings in Celsius and Fahrenheit.
South Africa Weather for Today & Tomorrow Update
A deepening surface trough is set to bring a dynamic shift in weather across South Africa, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers expected over central regions, stretching into the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Highveld of Mpumalanga. The southern coast and adjacent interior may also see periods of rain, while the majority of the country will continue to experience hot conditions—especially in the Lowveld and Bushveld, where temperatures will soar. Fresh to strong winds are forecast across the interior, increasing the potential for dust storms and challenging travel conditions. The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms in most parts of KwaZulu-Natal (excluding the extreme northeast) and northern parts of the Eastern Cape, cautioning about heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail, lightning, localized flooding, and potential damage to infrastructure. A Yellow Level 1 warning is in effect for damaging winds in the western Free State and the eastern Northern Cape, with risks to settlements, agriculture, and transport. Fire danger remains extremely high in the North West, central and eastern Northern Cape, most of the Free State and Limpopo, as well as western KwaZulu-Natal Province, urging residents to exercise caution with open flames and outdoor burning.
